I don't know why would you play/watch something you hate, the excuse is always that they have freedom to hate aspects of the series that they dislike, but their complaints are always consistent, it's always the same thing, so it's pretty evident that Japan won't change because they want it to change, why keep torturing yourself? It think it's obvious, they just want control, it gives them satisfaction.
