I totally hear you, we have 2 children at university.

Nr 1 learnt lots while doing English, Mandarin and a honors in translation but needs to get out and be amongst likeminded people of her faith community.

Nr2 is definitely more suited for the academics but still does feel that he really fits in the strange student world.

I don’t think modern university really is an environment that breeds success and a place to acquire knowledge.

It’s more just a place to get a certificate to add to your CV/resume/LinkedIn profile.

It’s an expensive and 4 years of your life.

I just have feelings of regret when looking back at my time at university. Such as maybe I should have seen the red flags sooner in my first year.

But as a born again Christian I understand I can’t allow these feelings to consume me. Understand the experience was massive lesson and helped me mature into a better man. Trust in Gods plan for me. I do believe there is reason I went through that experience. Not sure what it is yet though.
