It's true that receiving a 1k sat zap might only be equal to roughly 30 cents in the traditional world, but here on #nostr that's a fucking big deal.

Iโm not here for the zaps. I think itโs kind of stupid actually, the focus on zaps and zappathons. Kind of annoying.
Zaps, at least to me, is a major step forward in instantly transferring value from one party to another over the internet.
Since the early 2000s and I've been fantasizing about ways to receive funds for selling goods or services.
It is only with the emergence of #bitcoin that the whole playing field started transforming.
And now, with the addition of zaps, the playing field is transforming yet again.
And if what you're saying implies that the reason I'm here is for the zaps, then I should say that I started using #nostr before zaps were integrated.
Sorry but the idea of zaps is way too huge for me to just brush aside.
