Isn’t it more of a technical problem to decentralize the coordination? In what way did they get greedy? I’d think it would take a lot of back testing and time to get it right without sacrificing any privacy and security benefits of their implementation.

Idk about how technical it is but I do know based on what I have heard that they didn't prioritize it. Although what I heard could just be wrong.
