I disagree.
A workplace is more productive and enjoys better culture when everyone is in-office. You can find the people you need to talk to immediately. You can actually enjoy and have community in the space that you spend the majority of your meaningful waking hours.
Work is not supposed to be just a thing you do to make money. If that's you're way of seeing it, you're either in the wrong field or have the wrong orientation toward life.
Work is missional. First, in your pursuit of personal goals if the work itself is not ideal. Second, in itself as a manifestation of a vision once one becomes self-employed or committed to an enterprise usually (hopefully) later in career.
