I’m getting ready to quit my current tech sales job.

2 years ago our company hired an additional resource for our territory patch. All commission-able sales are split between the team members, given this guys experience he was given a nice cut of the total commission split. “Fine” I thought, this guy will have plenty of knowledge and sales experience to bring us to the next level so shouldn’t be an issue. 2 years go by and this man hasn’t gotten a single f*ckin sale and month after month im the one putting food on his kids table, coming out of my commissions check since he isn’t carrying his weight. I’ve complained to my manager and even my director with no action being taken while this guy sits around and does nothing all day.

Any advice for those of you who have experienced anything like this?

A rolling stone gathers no moss.

So just hang tight and do nothing you think?

Your job is in complete contradistinction to #Bitcoin’s ethos………

I don’t think so, we provide a valuable service for enterprises. Just because it’s a fiat mining job doesn’t mean it’s a complete contradiction.

It more directly relates to redistribution of the fruits of your labor.

Your labor is your time, which is your property, which was redistributed.

Sure, but doesn’t every company do this? Every company needs someone/something to sell their product/service for the benefit of the company as a whole.

If what you say is true…

Take a 1 month vacation.

At the end of this month, negotiate.

Ask to see their sales with and without you.

If you can’t afford a 1 month vacation, wait until you can line up another gig and work elsewhere for 1 month.

Sage advice…….

The issue here is that your redistributing your productivity with another member with supposedly the same skills as you.

The company brings something to the table, he apparently is not bringing anything to the table.

Well I can agree on that 100% - other teams have all members working hard and it benefits the group. This is not the case here.

I've got a remote sales position available. Uncapped commission. Check your DMs for more info.
