In what is sure to be a clear case of self-defense, a man in the US who had his truck stolen, reported the theft to police before using Apple AirTags to track his truck, before shooting and killing the thief.

Unless this guy was defending his life, it seems to me this was an excessive use of force, a punishment not proportional to the crime, and an example of the dangers in avenging one's self.
But you also need to hear the guy's defense, although unfortunately we can't hear the side of the deceased...
