Any recommendations on a #Bitcoin miner/where to procure one that would be safe with 110V home outlet?
Not looking for a huge hash rate or to make money (though have a good deal on β‘οΈ), just for the learning experience and project.

These are not profitable to run right now unless you have insanely cheap electricity.
But if you want some non-KYC sats and to learn, an S9 is ehat you want to get started down the mining rabbit hole.

Also something I live by: Profitability is subjective. To me, the first KYC free sat I get is profit. The tinkering is profit. The learning is profit. Everyone needs an S9.
Since spinning up a couple s19 j pros no need to DCA on kyc exchange. Profit in my π also learned a bunch.
Plus, you have insurance against spiking fees.

Honestly I think this is an underrated feature of home mining. You donβt have to have cheap electricity. Just the ability to turn on the miner in a fee spiking situation.
Yes, and I have been using the heat of 1 miner to heat my 1800 sqft home . Def worth it when you have other use cases for the heat.
My all in electricity cost( generation and delivery) is about 16.5 cents/ kWh not cheap by any standards
