You do understand how friends work right? You get to know someone over time and grow to either trust or distrust them based off of the evidence of your interactions (investigate and verify). Over time the trustworthy people become friends. And when friends are attacked baseless, their friends come to defend them.
see how that works? Friends are literally evidence of trust. So yeah when you see people coming out of the woodworking to defend certain accounts maybe theres a simple legitimate reason for it.
