Hey #nostr friends! I’m currently traveling and I’m in another country. For whatever reason, #Iris cannot be displayed. So I decided to log into #Damus because I understand that your messages and followers are basically attached to your npub and not the client. Guess what? I see all of my peeps and messages using a different app! This is soooo cool! #asknostr

If you traveled outside the US, chances are that Iris' backend got borked.

Basically, they use a profile cacher - rbr.io - with a regional subdomain. Even outside the USA, it will still call us.rbr.io, although it doesn't work. Happens to me here in germany too and thus makes #Iris entirely unusable to me. :<
