Observation with #Zeuspay

When I receive a #zap, I don't receive notifications or see notifications from #Amethyst or #Primal until after I redeem them in nostr:nprofile1qqsrf5h4ya83jk8u6t9jgc76h6kalz3plp9vusjpm2ygqgalqhxgp9gpz4mhxue69uhk2er9dchxummnw3ezumrpdejqzyrhwden5te0dehhxarj9ekxzmnyqyt8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnwdaehgu3wvfskueq555fk2

Once I open Zeus and navigate to my lightning address and redeem my pending zaps, push notifications from Amethyst start coming through and they are now visible in my notifications screen.

If I don't open Zeus and redeem the zaps, I'm never notified.

Makes sense. The zap events should only be sent after the user fully receives them.

What is "zap redeeming"? Is it a Zeus feature? Is it a lightning protocol feature?

With Zeus pay, you get a lightning address but the payments aren't processed unless you open Zeus and "redeem" your pending payments (zaps). You have 24 hours from the time a payment was sent to your address to redeem. If you don't redeem within 24 hours, the payment will not go through.
