Bonjour.

I’ve been to the Thiepval memorial cemetery to visit my great uncle’s war grave who died in the first of the three world wars.

If you ever find yourself there, look at plinth 13C for

"Thomas W. Hardcastle, Rifleman".

If you’d like to take a photo and share it, that would be awesome.

They never found his body, so all they have is his name engraved on the memorial.
