Or be a tyrant. No food for anyone! Then disappear in your car and get yourself something nice.

Unfortunately, most places in the world have to worry if they are getting food at all.

I am also a late eater here so I sympathize with your mum, but also think that people like us should accommodate others for outings, or just have something light, or take half of it home in a doggie bag for later.

Im quite nocturnal and dont like to live on other peoples schedules, but do so once in a while to keep the peace.

Maybe if mum takes the high road here, you guys will do the same for her other times :)
