there is no such thing as "victory" - history is not a football game.

if you have to believe in the possibility of victory in order to fight then you are a slave.

a hero needs no reason to fight - he does it because he was born for it.

I disagree. In my opinion, only an idiot fights for no purpose. A hero fights for something and triumphs BECAUSE he/she was born for it.

Victory is, in that sense, the achievement of such purpose.
