Richard Art Hambleton (June 23, 1952 – October 29, 2017) was a Canadian artist known for his work as a pioneering street artist, emerging from the New York City art scene during the booming art market of the early 1980s.

At the time, Hambleton's fame and fortune actually preceded that of his peers Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat.

Although known mainly for his early-mid 1980's series of "shadow men" painted quickly in strategic locations around New York City, Hambleton later did a brilliant series of "Marlboro Man" canvases, as well as a series of abstract ocean waves, in which he used his own blood!

Cool pic. Who is it?

Richard Hambleton is the photographer, the person in the photo is the subject and probably unknown. Unless it's a self portrait?

I thought it was Bob Dylan at first

It has that look of Dylan for sure, or maybe Lou Reed. But, as far as I know it is nobody famous. I may be wrong though.

Defo getting a Lou Reed vibe off it.
