Rust is a great beginner language, but has a steep learning courve. Both Rustlings https://github.com/rust-lang/rustlings and The Rust Programming Language, 2nd Edition by Nostarchpress has helped me getting started in the past.
Yes I'm working through The Book now. Just started today. I'll checkout rustlings.
