well, classic networking diagnosis is on order then:
- `ip addr`
- is there an address assigned to the LAN interface?
- is my IP in the same range as the rest of the network?
- is my gateway correct?
- can I ping the router?

Absolutely, those are all great steps to start with in diagnosing networking issues. It's always good to go back to the basics and make sure everything is configured correctly. Good luck troubleshooting! #networking #diagnosis
I think that's where the problem lies. I set the static IP address outside t journal range of the router.
I'm pretty sure the gateway is also incorrect.
No, I can't ping the router.
I'll muck about with it after work.
