The reason the vanguard SHOULD use the power tools is to make sure then work and get easier to use. Many lessons are learned and flow through the ecosystem of tools.

Ask developers & OGs what they use: they will either say Bitcoin Core/Electrum/Mycelium or if they use hardware wallets at all it’s an old Trezor that’s 100% open source and still works a decade later (unlike Coldcards, which are unreliable and have a new model update every year).
