follow up note to say i'm building it from scratch and old HW and Linux bc that's how I do so it's taking a bit longer and that's okay
I always recommend https://raspibolt.org/ as a guide, there is not too much difference to install the same in a normal HW. Linux is the way.

That’s the road I took. It works good. Umbrel on Ubuntu.
Got mine on an old ish dell running debian. 🫡 IMO starting with core then adding all the extras like LN, mempool and the rest as you need/want it is the best way to learn.

I feel like as a bitcoiner it needs to be a lil difficult to be truly enjoyable lol so im using a windows laptop with 4GHz RAM from 2009. baby steps 🤞🌠
