I used vim all day today. It definitely sped up my work flow.

I'm in and out of several deferent machines and containers throughout the day making small changes. Testing them before pushing them to git and then new containers.

Vim is everywhere. Emacs is not.

Previously I would use remote Emacs where possible and where not, echo pipe whole files into terminals after modifying them with Emacs.

Emacs is more like an ide. It's pretty comparible to vscode in form and function. It just uses lisp instead of Javascript.

Vim is an editor first. You can make it do more but thats not what it's especially Good at.

And v key bindings feel better than jewmacs

It is more comfortable not always having to reach for ctrl and alt. After getting used to it.

Emacs is an OS or a digital Swiss army knife...
