Serendipitous story:

A couple weeks ago a guy named Tony slipped and broke his hip at the river spot by our house.

He was laying there and was told that the ambulance team could not get him (probably due to the hike out)

We were alerted to all this going on and checked out the situation and offered our help, parking at our house, and access to our trails.

The med team showed up a while after and we were able to get him on a stretcher.

& then it was up to nostr:nprofile1qqsy6sd8e0ym0algfpx32jv64y2pcule5wwrwewvt4trr7s705mr8nqpzamhxue69uhhqctexgcjumn0wd68yvfwvdhk6tcpz4mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuum9wgcjumn9wshs2sj73a nostr:nprofile1qqs0jcrnm34kmw0y6ftdnga06u3zcu96pw0ax6ljqcy0dfput9gu0ssprfmhxue69uhkummnw3ezummtv95hguehx5engtnwv46qz9nhwden5te0wfjkccte9ec8y6tdv9kzumn9wszda5dq nostr:nprofile1qqspcjc3fr04lh3scqz4plffm6jfdjawptusaavuztru540us6p5vdgprpmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuumwdae8gtnnda3kjctvqy28wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnyv9kh2uewd9hsxz2tzn and I to lug him up the hill. No breaks.

We successfully got him to the ambulance. Tony is alright now and actually broke his femur in 2 spots.

So yesterday, I show up to urgent care looking and especially feeling like an absolute mess.

We we’re talking to the receptionists going through what tests I want and next thing I know I’m summoned into a doctors office.

The medic from the rescue day is the doctor at the urgent care. Doctor Edgardo. He saw me come in a couple days ago and saw me looking even worse yesterday. So he pulled me in and started going through everything.

I got a full check up, extra bloodwork, a just in case xray, some ivs, and a set of antiobiotics ALL FOR FREE.

There’s a lesson in there.

Update. I feel good for the first time in a week. I wanted to surf this morning, but was heavily peer pressured not to 😂. Pv.
