After telling my kids why it's important that they learn to tie their shoes I see my work boots and day shoes and realize I'm just as retarded as the teachers who told me I wouldn't have a calculator on me.

Maybe a better parenting approach would be to ask them what they want to learn next?

Nope. Still important to know how to tie shoes and knots.

Just like it’s extremely important to know how to handwrite on paper & not just type into a screen.

Keep crushin fren. Don’t lose the plot.

It’s crucial for brain development to learn these skills. Teach them how to tell time on an analog clock without numbers on it while you’re at it.

One of the worst things we ever did as a society was dumb down all the things that require dexterity. Stick shifts are a perfect example. You can hardly find newer cars with them anywhere in the United States.

Buy a motorcycle.

All of this is taught at home. Don’t wait for anyone else to do it.

Guitars still scratch that itch thankfully…

Get outside and drop a sundial on them!

You are doing a good job sir 🤝
