I've had couple conversations like this too.
I have bo idea how people can praise bitcoin and hate nostr at the same time.
Both share same core values and are built upon same idea.

They're desensitized to signal from the past 6 or 7 years of shitcoin noise.
On the whole I understand it and it's good in the end. If something breaks through these hardened shells it will be good evidence that it's on the right track.
