Ubuntu is really a beginner distro. I'd much rather use Debian than Ubuntu. And yes, I prefer Fedora over Ubuntu. I've tested or daily driven just about every distro out there worth it's salt, including QubesOS, and I always come back to Fedora as my main daily driver. Fun fact: Linus Torvalds uses Fedora as well. In the end, it's a personal preference. Daily drive it live off a USB stick for a week or run it in a VM and see how you like it.

Awesome! Good first impressions?

Some tips for easy navigation...

You can open the app menu with the super key (windows key) on your keyboard.

Also, if you hold ctrl+alt and use your left and right arrows, you can easily switch between desktop workspace screens instead of always moving the mouse to the top left of the acreen.

And, when you have an app in the foreground, you can hold ctrl+alt+shift and your arrow keys to easily move it to another workspace screen.

I like it, two and three finger gestures are a great feature. Had Software centre freeze up, took me a while to find the correct cli commands to kick it back into gear.. All good now.
