Thanks I used an nsec key from another account to sign up for layer3.news to see what would happen. I really wish these new nostr services use the OTP like nostr.build does to Create accounts. Asking people to paste their nsecs is ridiculous

I guess it's best to have an experimental account until they get sorted(?)
