Can anybody speak to the OpSec risk/reward balance of trying to start a bitcoin meetup in a smallish (100k) town that doesn’t have one yet? I wish we had one, and I’d go if we did, but I don’t know if I want to be the ‘bitcoin guy’ publicly

Had to Google it. 🤣. I’m that guy but in south west London. Bankers everywhere and decided fuck it I’m onboarding some merchants and See what happens. The results over the last 8 weeks have astounded me.
