Depends I think. If the truth is "the director of the NSA lost 30 Billion dollars in taxpayer money at the craps table last year" then absolutely. If the truth is "Carl stole my sandwich out of the fridge and his bank account details are..." then I don't know how necessary that one was to reveal.
