It’s a good article but it feels like she kind of glossed over who these mania undeniably grip most frequently - leftists.
Will read her book though, maybe she unpacks it in there.
The idea of cognitive discrimination doesn’t sound that far fetched to me - some see the word retarded as taboo, people who write about IQ and race have been cancelled, Western society is already built around placating “differently abled” people and what we call tall poppy syndrome here in Australia is not a phenomenon unique to us, bright people frequently get shouted down by credentialists and anointed experts even when they’re obviously fukn stupid. Could totally see it being prophetic / seized upon as the next push from the mania-prone group..
