First learnings on NIP95:

1. It's fast! Faster than an http call (strangely enough)

2. It works well in LTE/mobile connection, which was my biggest concern.

3. Amethyst is not yet optimized for this. This is basically a brute force implementation. Lots of work to cache files correctly and break files into parts.

4. Many relays are experimenting with the format. Several new ideas are already in motion to enhance their side.

5. Several requests to support upload and view of different files (PDFs, Code/text, Office files, even HTML/CSS)

6. Lots of discussions related to licensing of the content and how to track usage of files.

We are so early.

I want to see nip-05 eventually retasked to authenticate a connected html profile the user controls or hosts on their own, which is displayed in the client on their profile alongside the feed. Think, an optional fully self-custody customizable profile for power users. Could be a glorified MySpace profile, or could have an embedded shop, podcast feed, microblog, whatever without following a link. Just a part of the experience. I'd love to point people to my npub to just find it all, but I'd like to be able to make it my own wih minimal constraints.

It will likely happen. We have enough brain power outside the Twitter copy cats to make this work as a set of micro applications. In my mind, it's all just time to develop.
