You don't need to know unless you want to expose your NAS safely to the internet. Which I do. Since I want to host my family's data instead of having them rely on Google.
Reverse proxies are easy. I use nginx to reverse proxy to about a dozen local services.
Yes. I'm aware of what it is. I'm outrageously terrible at Linux server stuff and it never works.
