You really think reposting a reply note that was literally just posted 1 min apart does anything for your engagement ? you canโt possibly claim to know anything about nostr if you think that lol also sub noting is weird just tell me on here we are already in a thread why start another ๐คฃ
1) Replies are in "replies" or "conversations" list. Boosted notes are in the "OP" list and reach a wider audience because many npubs only enter threads from the top level.
2) Boosted notes are their own event and can independently appear on a trendlist, which increases their visibility to an audience that isn't only the npub's own followers.
3) Not everyone is following you (I know, hard to believe), so his own followers might not see your OP note and completely miss the conversation.
4) You're right. I know nothing about Nostr. Clearly. Glad you could educate me.

By that logic you wouldn't actually know if there's more reach or not and saying there isn't when you don't know because "there's no accurate anything", is assuming.

When you and others see how different clients doing different things (like here with how reposted replies are seen) is causing these small weird argument things between people opposed to success through collaboration and centralization behind ideas things will start to move for nostr in a big way.
Until then everyone's actually in competition with eachother hoping their idea and implementation is what starts the wave...
