The fabulous Butchart Gardens on Vancouver Island are visited by a huge number of tourists every year. Where the garden is now, there used to be a quarry from which limestone was mined. Pym and Jenny Butchart, Canadian industrialists, took up the cultivation of flowers and the arrangement of the garden.
