Then, the current PM, Mr François Bayrou on July 15th, 2025 said, “To be obliged to borrow every month to pay pensions or to pay civil servants, it’s a curse that doesn’t have a way out. This country cannot survive.”

In his speech, PM François Bayrou went on to say that France’s debt increases by €5000 per second. That is €432M per day, and €157.68B a year.
