Hey #zapstream creators, in case you've missed this! The costs to stream (in sats) was slashed by 50% by nostr:npub1v0lxxxxutpvrelsksy8cdhgfux9l6a42hsj2qzquu2zk7vc9qnkszrqj49 in December to adjust pricing with BTC's value increase.

The new pricing per plan is:

BEST plan: 5 sats/min (VOD storage, output encoding)

Server URL: rtmp://in.zap.stream/live

GOOD plan: 2.5 sats/min (output encoding)

Server URL: rtmp://in.zap.stream/live2

BASIC plan: 0.5 sats/min (source output only)

Server URL: rtmp://in.zap.stream/basic

Happy Streaming!

I dont understand the difference between the basic plan and good plan. Will zap 69 sats for an explanation for dummies.

basic - if you stream for example with 1280x720 then 720p will be you output resolution on zap.stream. If you stream 1920x1080 then 1080 HD then that's your output on zapstream. Depending on the bitrate you need to push those qualities this can be a strain for mobile viewers if they're on data plans or older devices (buffering)

If you're using the good plan and you're streaming for example at 1920x1080 then the viewers can also select 720p, 480p, 360p. With 480p being generally sufficient when watching videos on a small display such as a phone. Now, if someone is watching your stream and your native output or 720p is buffering for them, they can flip to 480 or lower and probably enjoy your stream in a good enough quality.

Best plan also stores your stream for video on demand.

Perfect, thanks bro!

Any time and thanks for the zap
