Can we really consider them “sent” if they’ve yet to be redeemed? The double spend is the real risk isn’t it?
There are various ways to prevent double-spending in a partially-offline scenario. If one of the parties is offline but the other one is online, you can prevent double-spends. If nobody is online, the token can be double-spent until the receiver comes back online.

Sure not a cypherpunk dream. Cashu (web 2 centralized server without sharing or federation) ==> lightning (testnet liquid server AML not compliance) ==> #bitcoin real decentralization but totally under control due to lack of interoperability with fiat systems. I think the FED is winning, how’s your binance KYC going? Same binance the fed keeps VC hostage in US DOJ.
I'm confused, how is it 100% anonymous with cashu? Isn't the mint supposed to be someone you can kick in the balls? Wouldn't your anonymity be broken once you go from the mint to L2 and back to on chain?
