Odlišnost "identických" mužů odhalilo až sejmutí otisků prstů. Dosud používaná Bertillonova metoda tak poprvé zcela selhala.
Na poslední fotografii je evidence otisků prstů FBI z roku 1944. Obsahovala 23 milionů osobních souborů a 10 milionů karet. Každý měsíc přibývalo nejméně 400 000 nových karet. FBI přešla na elektronickou databázi teprve v roce 1999.

The difference between the "identical" men was only revealed by taking fingerprints. The Bertillon method used up to now completely failed for the first time.
The last photo shows the FBI fingerprint archive from 1944. It contained 23 million personal files and 10 million cards. At least 400,000 new cards were added every month. The FBI only switched to an electronic database in 1999.
