The tiger bee fly is scary but harmless -- unless you're a carpenter-bee larvae. A great pollinator, as well. #mybackyard
They're so cute! And the ones I've met have not been afraid of people at all, they'll land right on you lol

True. When I saw this one land I was messing about with a hammock. I figured he'd be scared off. But still there when I finished and with camera phone, I got as close as I wanted
