You can use your own node. Zapplanner only orchestrates. So yes, you trust the scheduling and payment to the recipient is done correctly by the zapplanner app. With the NWC budgets you also have control over amounts and such.

Even if you run such an app yourself - which you simply could - then you also trust that the app does the correct thing.

Definitely a step in the right direction. Good looking and simple to use.

I'm just thinking that Alby becomes a honeypot. With the NWC connection strings, it's basically direct access into the wallets of users.

Risk doesn't exist for those who run the planner app themselves though. Hmm, might check it out!
