If you do things to fill a gap / hole, there will always be more holes (created by you across “time”) to fill.

So much art was not created to fill a hole (I.e. market demand), or to fix, or to level up.

It was just the complete devotional self expression of the artist. i.e. they spent a lifetime discerning their uniqueness and then expressed it through their chosen medium.
