Google Pixel should all be fine. I wouldn't use Graphene OS though. It's locked down too tight. Its emphasis on security makes everything cumbersome for the user and limits your options for customization.
Flashing the recovery partition is always my biggest problem.

I have to de-google a new one. I ordered a refurbished Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Unlocking the bootloader seems to be straightforward and there is official support by TWRP custom recovery.
so u can load graphene or ubuntu-lite easily in it
