I don't think "Houlihan" looks like it would be pronounced "Holly-han" but that is literally everyone's first guess. Bewildering.

Also, everyone hears "Bryan" not "Ryan" despite the fact that there are more Ryans than Bryans on average. What is this phenomenon that plagues my customer service experience.
