Jean Luc Goddard's Alphaville was ....
relevatory for our time, the transition that many of us are going through. Feeling like an outsider, or a loner to our own towns, friends, and otherwise, these past few years.
Although... it was filmed in 1965....
Really neat picture. I'd never seen it before, but it's through and through quinnesential Goddard. Just, this time it's not a musical, but yet it still has its classic abstractions, although this time on the meaning of being human.

Directed by Jean-Luc Godard • 1965 • France
Starring Eddie Constantine, Anna Karina, Akim Tamiroff
A cockeyed fusion of science fiction, pulp characters, and surrealist poetry, Godard’s irreverent journey to the mysterious Alphaville remains one of the least conventional films of all time. Eddie Constantine stars as intergalactic hero Lemmy Caution, on a mission to kill the inventor of fascist computer Alpha 60.
