I never really watch TV, or at least I never watch commercials, but I saw Judge Mathis had a new show, and I had enjoyed his old on on occasion so I decided to record a couple and check it out.
Because I recorded it, the commercials are there, and because I 'watch' as I work (media on my 3rd monitor) I would occasionally get distracted and not jump past the commercials.
After that happened a few times I realized easily 60% of the people in commercials are morbidly obese.
His previous show I watched maybe ten years ago, and it was aimed at the same audience, same demographic, but sometime between then and now, it became 'normal' to be morbidly obese.
My prediction, from watching every other stupid thing progress through my life: some time soon it will be declared 'heroic' / courageous / positive to be morbidly obese.
Oh, and the only commercial that actually referenced the morbid obesity of the people in it, were selling a pharmaceutical, and asking the question 'If you have obesity then this pill is for you'. If you HAVE it? Like it's just something you caught. Like while you weren't looking (and eating that third grease burger) it snuck up on you or some shit?!?!
