Amazon Prime shipping is starting to seem scammy. I keep placing orders and Amazon claims that without Prime they'll take a week to arrive. And yet, my low time preference persists. I continue declining a Prime subscription, and my orders keep arriving in 2 to 3 days...

I cancelled Prime in 2017 or 2028 when my orders were routinely taking 4 to 5 days to arrive.
Low preference wins out, and resulting service is about the same.
Yeah, they show up next day even. ๐

I'm convinced serving non prime membership shipping rates is actually lower margin than serving faster shipping prime memberships at this point.
I have made the same experience.
Generally, whenever a product is bundled with too many other products, I just assume that this does not serve me, the consumer but only the bundler. It just doesnโt make sense.
It sometimes shows on the website as next day delivery. After you place the order the delivery date changes to the following day. Deliberate before they insist it can be delivered by a drone!? Iโm getting way too cynical.

Ummm they also keep cancelling my shipments and refunding me saying undeliverable. Keep in mind this is after 18 months of delivering to the same address.
They wouldn't be able to afford to inventory those delivered goods for extra unnecessary days just for the sole purpose of punishing you for not upgrading.
