23 million people in the US work for the government, as a % Australia will not be far behind ….
US labour force is ~168 million, Australia’s is 14.5 million.
I’d say we’ve got the US well and truly covered for % of parasites we’re carrying.
1, half of 2 & 4, 8, 9, and 10 is about 26.7% of the labour force and that’s just the top 10 industries, it’s probably closer to 35% direct Gov employment and well over half with the indirects who exist to service government.
We live in a bureaucrat’s utopia.

Look at the declines in scientific, technical, construction and manufacturing jobs.
Yep, some of this can go off shore and should - that’s when free-ish trade and capitalism works well.
But we know this isn’t the case in Australia.

We are flooding the country with either immigrants deemed “unsuitable” for most jobs or fake students.
Then, most of construction are on poorly managed government-funded infrastructure gigs.
THEN, there’s the NDIS debacle.
In light of no serious opposition to this crap, I fear the eventual crisis that will truly nuke the ponzi …. 
They’re printing visas and bullshit jobs to prop up the #HousingPonzi
It’s really that simple. Jack up demand for homes to the stratosphere and then prices can’t possibly come down. The sole aim of government today, regardless of who holds power, is to make sure it doesn’t collapse on their watch.
