Bitaxe is a facet of bitmain right?

Not sure what facet means. But Bitaxe is an open-source mining project:

I am aware. They are a subset, department of, their parent company is bitmain, right?

Nope. They use the same chips used in Bitmain miners, but it’s not a department, company or whatsoever 😉

Thanks

How many do you have so far?

Just 1.

That’s why I would be so happy 🥸🤣

Christmas is only a few days away 🤞

I've just ordered 3.

Hence why I'm curious on this topic.

I'm all about investing sats into the ecosystem, node runner/lightning facilitator (built that) and seedsigner fan (built one, bought one).

So yes, this was next. So I splurged on sats I set up in lightning 4 years ago (wow. What appreciation lol).

The Future of mining is certainly micro setups such as bitaxe's. If households ran them, there would be no need for mining farms. I get that it decentralizes further, and gets us expanding our own horizons.

Other than the personal growth items I've mentioned - can anyone else sell me on bitaxe? Anything else?

(Like I said I'm not a hard sell, awaiting 3 I've already ordered). Should they be run pool or solo?

Maybe 2 on pool and 1 on solo or vice a version or not at all?

Give me anything

Bitaxe is fun and I love them for the ethos. However they are expensive in term of price per Th. Presently the best I see on the market is Canaan’s Avalon Nano which will generate 3-4 Th and retail for $160 for future orders (once back in stock) or $250 on Amazon.

I’m running one bitaxe and 2 nanos. Plan to ramp up to several more nanos over the next few months.
