Any recommendations for keeping Lego builds together?

Friend gave me this one a couple years ago. Kids and I put it together. Every year seems tougher to keep together. Took me a bit to rebuild the side windows that busted.

I store mine in plastic sterilite totes.

I did for this but bringing it in and out of the attic knocked a bunch loose. I'm trying to permanently affix the pieces together lol. I may just use acrylic as suggested. I wonder if that would put a weird shine on it though
