“Stan” has been one of the hardest newer slangs for me to accept. It just looks so out of place for me. Doesn’t help that it makes me think of this bully Stan I hated from my childhood 😂

i thought ‘stan’ as in ‘stand’, as in you’re such a hardcore fan you stand with them through the good and bad times

i remember the beginnings of stan twitter too, so random. but it is one of the bigger communities on twitter
