Starting to think about my next laptop. My current one is a Rog Zephyrus. Powerful enough, but terrible battery life.

If I go with Qubes for my next daily driver, what laptop brand/model is going to give me the longest use per charge?

Workload will be Firefox, Visual Studio Code and little else. #asknostr

I picked up a nice little refurbished Lenovo from Amazon for crazy cheap (and on a peanuts-level payment plan) and I'm loving it. Battery life not terrible.

There's nothing better than a used Lenovo Thinkpad

Darn right! Run Linux, Beef it up a little and toss a new battery in it. These things are tanks too.

Curious, have you looked at Framework laptops? I'm very tempted by their modularity options... https://frame.work/

Well VS Code will be just open or you expect to do something 🤪

IDE is usually the thing what drains the battery. And display of course...

Be sure to check the Qubes compatibility list. I had it on a lenovo yoga, and it worked, but definitely had quirks.
