How To: Use Zeus mobile + Tail Scale VPN + Umbrel Lightning Node.

Background: I am running a lightning node using umbrel and I wanted to be able to use zeus mobile to access the node for "on the go" payments. The TOR connection was extremely slow which made it nearly impossible to use.

1) Have a well maintained, well connected lightning node, in this case, umbrel.

2) Download the Zeus mobile application.

3) Open your umbrel lightning node and in the upper right corner click "connect wallet."

4) Now, on mobile, open Zeus and click settings and the first tab. Now, click the plus sign and scan the QR code of your umbrel node.

5) Download tailscale on both umbrel and your mobile. Link both your umbrel and your phone to the same account/email.

6) Now, open settings again on the zeus app and click the first tab again to open your node details.

7) Delete the .onion address under "host" and unselect the "use tor" button.

You should now be able to quickly use zeus to access your node anywhere in the world.
